Based on my understanding, the election in the affected ridings could be postponed, but not in the province as a whole. So, it is possible that Elections Alberta could decide that May 29 would be election day for only, say, 83 of 87 ridings, but they wouldn't postpone them all.
Never mind the divisions in the UCP--will there even be an election on the day set aside or will the fire problems delay the event?
