Putin has been exposed as such an incompetent — particularly by his bungling invasion of Ukraine — that it boggles my mind to see him garnering support. Then again, the same people almost uniformly support Donald Trump, so the bar on competence is subterranean. Poilievre is needlessly making himself look like an analogous fool, outside of that tiny slice of voters.

I agree with Éric's comments on the NDP and the CASA, but I'll say it a little more forcefully - I think the NDP's too spineless to pull the plug unless their polling improves. I think they'll limp along until 2025 to preserve their current position as long as possible, lose most of their rural seats to the CPC (goodbye, Charlie Angus), and wind up as an urban rump of a party. And considering the Liberals will also be (mostly) confined to urban ridings, what purpose does the NDP serve aside from being a slightly more left-wing version of the Liberals?
