Welcome to the Weekly Writ, a round-up of the latest federal and provincial polls, election news and political history that lands in your inbox every Wednesday morning.

Gee, what to cover this week? Politics has been just a little hectic over the last little while, and that continues with today’s Weekly Writ.

First, the Liberals and NDP find a way to get along, the Conservatives have a few more names come forward for their leadership, Manitobans vote in Fort Whyte and Albertans get ready to vote in Red Deer.

Then, polls on the Conservative leadership and premiers across the country, the Ontario PCs look to be in a good spot and the CAQ needs to keep an eye on its rear (and to the right).

Finally, a trip to Kitchener in the riding of the week, a trip down memory lane to another Tory leadership race and a trip to Matane to mark a milestone.
