Hi Eric - I'm a bit of a political data geek and I usually love the podcasts but I'm afraid after 15 minutes of listening to you and Philippe discuss the intricacies of various pollsters and the timing of those polls and the mostly minimal differences . . . I stopped watching.
When you noted that a party in BC where I'm from could have 10% of the vote and get no seats when they should have 4 in that province alone; it underscored that ignoring the huge effect our antiquated voting system has on our representation. If you are going to talk about voting, governance and power in Canada, for a full understanding for your audience you have to start at least mentioning the effect of the voting system. I think if you started to talk about the realities of safe seats and lack of representation in our supposedly representative democracy you would draw a huge audience. No mention of political parities required.
I personally am waiting for your observations on voting and polarization. Considering how newsworthy the US influence is now and particularly with their current leadership, that would increase your readership. Thanks - Bob MacKie
