You guys should host the press gallery next year! It would be a real hoot! LOL I am writing from St. John's & Eric I believe you were right about the election on Fogo Island. The main industry there is the fishery & the protest over crab prices had a lot to do with it. This is even the local thinking. Just the same I wouldn't take it as a sign that Andrew Fury is in any big trouble. The current PC leader is not well known, I can't even tell you the guys name. My guess is that if Fury were to hold an election this year (he should get it over with before the feds) He would pretty much mop up in the urban areas St. John's, Corner Brook etc. Leaving only having to pick up a few seats in the outports to form government. The last election here in NL that you referred to was during covid & it was a mail in vote that had to be organized on a moments notice. That may account for the low turnout. There is a law here that if the governing party has a new leader then any election has to be held within a year. Fury was the new guy at the time.
