A poll conducted in August suggests the Liberals would win a landslide. But August was a long time ago.
Welcome to the Election Writ, a special-edition newsletter to get you up-to-date on the ongoing campaign in Newfoundland and Labrador.
The release of a Narrative Research poll conducted in August made some waves in Newfoundland and Labrador’s election campaign, even if the numbers from that poll are starting to get quite dated. They likely won’t be the last polling numbers we’ll see before election day, but if those numbers from August matched the results on October 14, what would the province’s electoral map look like? Also in today’s newsletter: An analysis of the NDP’s chances of increasing its seat total on election day, a rundown of the latest on the campaign trail, a deep dive into what seats would flip if that Narrative poll from last week became reality on election day, and The Writ’s campaign bus takes a spin around Western Newfoundland.
